What do you value most in your client relationships?

Trust is the most important virtue of any relationship, and client relationships are no different. Iā€™ve often found that being able to deliver honest, and transparent professional advice while connecting on a personal level ā€“ either through a mutual hobby, interest, or shared experience ā€“ is where the most trust can be built.

What sparked your interest in financial planning? What fuels you every day in your work?

My interest in financial planning was driven by an immense desire to help people. Financial planning allows me to fulfill this desire by helping families as they build wealth, send their children to college, enter retirement, and plan to leave a legacy. This desire fuels me as much today as it did when I entered the industry as a college student many years ago.

How do you do good in your community?

When the opportunity arises, I volunteer with the National Links Trust, a non-profit headquartered in Washington D.C. that is dedicated to positively impacting communities and changing lives through affordable and accessible municipal golf. Throughout the year, the National Links Trust partners with local environmental organizations like the Anacostia Watershed Society and Rock Creek Conservancy to undertake sustainability projects. These projects include trash removal at our local municipal golf courses, invasive vegetation removal to benefit the local ecosystem, and freshwater mussel releases in the Anacostia River to help improve the riverā€™s water quality.

Where did you grow up? Where do you live now?

I grew up in the small town of Brooksville, Florida which is about an hour north of Tampa. I currently live in Washington, D.C. with my wife, Amanda.
