As a Planning Associate, Emily supports the advisory team in a variety of client service and planning activities. Responsibilities include preparing for client meetings, assisting with the onboarding of new assets, drafting Investment Policy Statements, and maintaining communication with clients and their professional contacts.
Emily participates in client meetings and assists with documenting and coordinating follow-up items. Additional responsibilities include contributing to the development of financial plans, gathering information from clients, and monitoring planning strategies and tax law developments relevant to client needs. Working alongside the client service team, she manages multiple projects and administrative tasks within a fast-paced environment, applying organizational skills and attention to detail to support ongoing client and team initiatives.
What sparked your interest in financial planning? What fuels you every day in your work?
From a young age, I was taught the importance of saving and planning for the future, which sparked my interest in financial planning. I enjoy the combination of working with people, solving problems, and helping clients navigate important financial decisions. What motivates me most is building relationships and helping clients gain confidence and clarity about their future.
What do you feel is a strength that you have?
One of my strengths is my ability to connect with people. I am naturally personable and enjoy building strong relationships with both clients and coworkers. Being approachable and understanding helps me foster trust and work well with others.
What do you enjoy most about working at Modera?

When you retire you’re going to…?
When I retire, I hope to continue traveling and exploring new destinations. I enjoy experiencing different cultures and trying new things along the way!
