Jonie Parks

After her dad passed away, Jonie saw just how overwhelming finances can be for family members during a tough time, especially for her mother suddenly navigating it all on her own. That experience sparked her passion for financial planning. Today, she works mostly with physicians, helping them manage the unique challenges that come with their profession. Jonie also partners with corporate executives, helping them make the most of their compensation packages and plan strategically for long-term goals. She maintains a strong passion for working with widowed individuals, offering empathy, clarity, and practical advice when it’s needed most. No matter the client, she focuses on making the complex feel manageable

Jonie has over 20 years of financial planning and investment management experience. She and other members of the Matrix team joined Modera in July, 2018. Her prior experiences include working for a wirehouse firm and a local financial services firm before joining Matrix Wealth Advisors, Inc. in 1997.

Jonie earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. She is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional, a NAPFA (National Association of Personal Financial Advisors) registered advisor and a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA).

Outside of Modera, Jonie enjoys being outdoors skiing, playing tennis, hiking, or gardening. She lives in Charlotte with her family.
