What sparked your interest in financial planning? What fuels you every day in your work?
My interest in financial planning was deeply influenced by my parents’ experiences. They did not always receive the best financial guidance, and during volatile times, their advisor was often unresponsive. Seeing firsthand the impact of inadequate support reinforced my commitment to ensuring clients receive reliable and proactive financial advice. This motivates me to provide thoughtful guidance and build lasting relationships based on trust and responsiveness.
What do you feel is a strength that you have?
One of my strengths is my commitment to listening attentively. I take the time to understand people’s concerns, motivations, and values, which helps me collaborate effectively in finding solutions. By fostering meaningful connections and thoughtful dialogue, I can better support individuals in addressing challenges and achieving their goals.
What do you enjoy most about working at Modera?
Collaboration among my peers is one of the most valuable aspects of working at Modera. Rather than a single advisor handling a client’s needs, the entire firm contributes its collective expertise to finding the best solutions. This team-based approach is incredibly reassuring—while I may not always have the perfect answer, I can rely on the knowledge and experience of my colleagues to help resolve any client issue effectively.
When you retire you’re going to…?
I would like to retire to Hawaii. I would also like to spend time working on cars. I have always enjoyed taking things apart and putting them back together. There is something rewarding about being able to build and accomplish something you didn’t think you could do.
