When you’re not working you’re…?
I’m with my family. We live in an old log cabin with seemingly endless chores and potential renovations. I’m also working on a masters in accounting through UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School.
How do you do good in your community?
I always find a way to give back. I’ve mentored young adults through my church, built houses with Habitat for Humanity, and led the board of directors when our kids were in preschool.
Where did you grow up? Where do you live now?
I’m a Carolina girl. I grew up near Grandfather Mountain in Valle Crucis, North Carolina. I lived in Sewanee, TN while I pursued my undergraduate degree and again with our family while my husband attended seminary. There’s something about the Blue Ridge Mountains that take my breath away. Now I live in the foothills of Tryon, near Asheville and Greenville, where my husband grew up.
How do you caffeinate?
Green tea and dark chocolate!
