What do you value most in your client relationships?
I deeply value the moment when a client transitions from financial uncertainty to a place of confidence and security. Many of my clients come to me during major life transitions—such as the loss of a loved one, retirement, receiving an inheritance, or going through a divorce. They share not only their financial details but also their personal concerns and anxieties. Through a comprehensive and supportive planning process, it is incredibly rewarding to witness the shift—when a client begins to feel truly confident about their financial future. That transformation is one of the most gratifying parts of my work.
What sparked your interest in financial planning? What fuels you every day in your work?
Growing up in a divorced household, my mother faced significant financial challenges while raising my brother and me. She was unprepared for the economic demands of single parenthood, and we witnessed firsthand the stress she endured in trying to manage household finances. Her financial anxiety left a lasting impression on me and sparked a deep, personal interest in finance. That experience shaped my understanding of the importance of financial literacy and planning, and it continues to motivate my passion to help others in this field.
How do you feel you help to create impact for clients?
I believe I make a meaningful impact on my clients through the outcomes I help them achieve. I’m fortunate to work not only with clients but often with their children as well, supporting intergenerational planning that ensures continuity and shared goals. I also work closely with clients who are passionate about leaving a charitable legacy, helping them align their values with their long-term financial plans. Additionally, I support clients who may not need intergenerational planning but are navigating the complexities of aging—whether it’s health care planning or creating a realistic path forward when facing the prospect of growing older alone. In all cases, I aim to bring clarity, confidence, and compassion to their planning process.
What do you feel is a strength that you have?
I’m patient by nature, which allows me to create a calm, supportive environment where clients feel comfortable asking questions and making thoughtful financial decisions. I live by the motto, ‘it’s better to be interested than interesting’—because truly understanding my clients is the foundation of meaningful financial guidance.
