Her background in healthcare gives her a deep understanding of the challenges and demands faced by medical professionals and the families they support.

Mindy earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry with a minor in History from the University of Tennessee at Martin, followed by her Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center.

Mindy is originally from Franklin, Tennessee, and moved to Charlotte in 2016. She enjoys spending time with her family, running Disney half marathons, volunteering with her church and nonprofits serving medically underserved communities, and promoting financial literacy wherever she can.

What sparked your interest in financial planning? What fuels you every day in your work?

Financial matters can feel overwhelming for many people, and that uncertainty often creates stress. My goal is to help clients by develop clear, personalized financial plans they can fully understand. When clients know they have a solid plan and a trusted advisor to answer their questions, it can help alleviate financial stress and allows them to focus on what truly matters. What fuels me every day is knowing that my work empowers people to feel confident about their future and make informed decisions that improve their lives.

What do you feel is a strength that you have?

One of my greatest strengths is attention to detail and precision. As a former pharmacist, I was trained to ensure the right medication, at the right dose, for the right patient at the right time. I bring that same level of care and accuracy to financial planning—ensuring the right plan, at the right time, tailored to each client’s unique goals. This approach helps provide clarity and confidence throughout their financial journey.

Where did you grow up? Where do you live now?

I grew up in Franklin, Tennessee, just outside of Nashville. Today, I live in the Matthews/Mint Hill area near Charlotte, North Carolina. My entire family has relocated to the Charlotte area as well, and I love that Matthews/Mint Hill has a similar welcoming feel and community vibe to Franklin—it truly feels like home.

What’s the best career advice you ever got?

The best advice I received came from my mom. She said to “Be a thermostat not a thermometer”. In other words, set the tone and create a positive environment rather than simply reflecting the negativity around you. That advice has guided me throughout my career, reminding me to lead with optimism and influence the culture in a constructive way. In my current role, I strive to embody this by fostering trust and positivity with clients and colleagues, ensuring that every interaction contributes to a supportive and solution-focused environment.
