What has been a particularly rewarding moment in your career?

The most rewarding moments in my career have always been when a co-worker would tell me that I have positively impacted their career. I have been lucky enough a few times in my career to serve as a mentor and help someone navigate complex career decisions or situations and when those outcomes are successful it is very fulfilling.

When you’re not working you’re…?

When I am not working, I am spending as much time as I can with my 4 young adult children and my extended family and friends.

What’s the best career advice you ever got?

The best career advice I ever received was that you need to constantly be learning and one of the most valuable sources of learning is to be a great listener. Whatever the topic may be, truly listening allows you to frame your opinion or your theories with greater context and therefore your decision making or advice will be more effective.

How do you caffeinate?

I am an old school coffee in the morning person. I believe I am on a decades long streak of starting my day with a hot cup of coffee.
