Janie Lucas contributes to Modera Wealth Management’s marketing and communications efforts as a Marketing Assistant, where she supports a wide array of initiatives that strengthen the firm’s brand and client engagement. From managing the marketing calendar and helping curate website bios to assisting with event planning and onboarding support, Janie plays a hands-on role in ensuring Modera’s message is both polished and impactful.
She also helps coordinate Modera’s social media presence, organizes and distributes client communications, maintains CRM data, and collaborates with the finance team on expense-related policies for gifting and entertainment. With an eye for detail and a collaborative spirit, Janie serves as a key link between marketing strategy and execution, helping bring Modera’s values to life across every touchpoint.
What do you enjoy most about working at Modera?
I love the energy at Modera. Everyone is so helpful and truly centered around the same goals and values. I feel very included and motivated by everyone around me. It is inspiring to work for a company that has a shared goal of helping clients and building a community.

Playing pickleball, enjoying time with friends and family, cooking, and traveling.
Where did you grow up? Where do you live now?
I am a Charlotte native! I grew up here, left for college in Clemson, SC, and now I am back working here. I loved Charlotte growing up and it has been so cool to see how much the city is changing and growing.
What’s a destination in the world that you aspire to visit?
I would love to go to New Zealand at some point in my life. It is on my bucket list and I hope that I can cross it off one day!
