Henry Hagedorn IV

What sparked your interest in financial planning? What fuels you every day in your work?

Growing up, I was always interested in the world of finance. When I was in college, I learned about the financial planning industry and thought it was an incredibly unique line of work and aligned perfectly with my passions, skills, and desire to serve others. It wasn’t until I gained experience through internships that I was certain this was the career path for me. Being able to see with my own eyes the benefit comprehensive financial planning can have in one’s life motivated me to become an advisor who strives to help people experience that positive impact. With that, I go to work each day excited to serve our clients.

How do you feel you help to create impact for clients?

We aim to make things easier for our clients through solid organization, thoughtful planning, and careful preparation. Throughout the financial planning process, we pay close attention to each area, so it’s considered and handled with care. That way, clients—each with their own unique circumstances—can feel more secure and informed as they look ahead to their financial future.

What do you enjoy most about working at Modera?

I enjoy the people I work with every day. Everyone is incredibly genuine, nice, and motivated to accomplish Modera’s mission to provide comprehensive financial planning to all clients. I’m constantly learning and motivated since I work alongside such great and talented people.

When you retire, you’re going to…?

When I retire, I hope to be doing several things. The first is working on my golf game. I recently started playing and have enjoyed quality time spent with those around me on the course, as well as the challenge of trying to improve my score each time I play. The second is to be living near the beach. I grew up going to the beach often and would love to someday call a beach town my home. I also hope to be traveling, whether that’s to a frequent vacation spot or a place I’ve never been. Last and most importantly, I hope to be doing all those things with my friends and family.
