Director of Portfolio Management

As Director of Portfolio Management, Dylan is responsible for ensuring client portfolios are thoughtfully constructed and aligned with each client’s risk profile and long term objectives. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), with 18 years of experience in trading and investing.

Prior to joining Modera, Dylan began his career in 2008 at Fidelity Investments, first supporting its AdvisorChannel trading software and later booking trades for hedge fund clients on the Fidelity Capital Markets team.

In 2011, Dylan joined SCS Financial, where he spent 14 years serving ultra-high-net-worth families. His roles at SCS began as municipal bond trader and progressed to Head Trader and ultimately Head of Trading, overseeing execution across the firm and contributing to the investment platform for sophisticated client portfolios.

Outside of work, Dylan enjoys time with his family, staying active, and playing or watching sports. He lives in Boxwood, MA, with his wife, two children and two cats.

What do you value most in your client relationships?

Knowing that I’m helping people just like me achieve their long term financial goals which, in turn, can let them focus on the joyous parts of life.

How do you feel you help to create impact for clients?

The Portfolio Management team is a key component in ensuring the vision created by the client, advisors, and planning teams is executed on. Proper managing of portfolios is a foundational building block to the client experience.

When you retire you’re going to…?

Do all the travelling I don’t get to do while I’m working!

Where did you grow up? Where do you live now?

I grew up in Seattle, Washington. I currently reside in Boxford, MA with my wife, two kids, and two cats.
