What has been a particularly rewarding moment in your career?
Seeing candidates accept their offers is very rewarding to me. As a Recruiting Coordinator you play a key role in managing the many moving parts of the hiring process; from scheduling interviews to ensuring everything runs seamlessly. So, when a candidate reaches the finish line, it’s especially rewarding because you know firsthand how much coordination and collaboration it takes to get there.
When you’re not working you’re…?
When I’m not working, you’ll find me hanging out with my husband, son, and our mini Goldendoodle. We love spending time outdoors whether that’s in the mountains, the beach or just a casual walk around the neighborhood. I also enjoy watching movies (nothing scary!), squeezing in a quick nine holes of golf or heading to the airport with my family to watch airplanes take off and land.
What’s the best career advice you ever got?
Best career advice that I have received came from the book “Who Moved My Cheese?”. It focuses on the importance of adaptability, being proactive, and not allowing fear of change to hold you back. The book highlights how change is inevitable, especially in the workplace, and those who stay flexible and open minded are better positioned for success. It encouraged me to embrace change rather than resist it, anticipate challenges instead of reacting to them, and view new situations as opportunities for growth rather than obstacles.
Where did you grow up? Where do you live now?
I grew up in a small town in Michigan where the summers were beautiful and the winters were cold and long. But these days, I call North Carolina home, where I still get to enjoy the 4-seasons.
How do you caffeinate?
