What do you value most in your client relationships?
I value getting to know a client on a personal level; I believe that the most important aspects of a client-advisor relationship are the intangibles, such as trust and respect. I value getting to know a client personally and helping them achieve their long-term financial goals.
What sparked your interest in financial planning? What fuels you every day in your work?
I developed a strong passion for financial planning during my past internship experience. I saw firsthand how advisors can make a meaningful impact on a client’s life, beyond their financial needs. For example, I observed a client who had help setting up a 529 plan to fund their children’s education. The client was not only appreciative from the perspective of taking the administrative burden off them, but they also expressed gratitude and relief for helping to set up their child with tools to help them succeed in the future. That sentiment, of helping to not only make a difference in the lives of clients, but also help to set up the next generation for a better future, left an impression on me. What motivates me every day is knowing that I can have a positive impact on a client’s financial lifestyle by presenting fiduciary care that is in their best interest.
When you retire, you’re going to…?
Buy a beach house where I can sit back and relax with family and friends. I would also like to invest in antique cars.
Where did you grow up? Where do you live now?
I grew up in Burlington, VT and I now live in Boston, MA.
