Modera is proud to be ranked 68th in FA Magazine’s 2023 RIA Ranking, up from the 75th spot in 2022. FA Magazine ranked 521 RIA firms in total, 91 of which had more than $5 billion in assets managed as of the end of 2022.
The annual ranking is based primarily on five components: 2022 year-end assets; percentage growth in assets from 2021-2022; average assets per client; percentage growth in assets per client; percentage change in number of clients.
Modera managed $6.8 billion as of the end of 2022 with an average of $3 million in assets managed per client.
“We were pleased with last year’s results,” said Modera CEO Tom Orecchio. “Despite the market and economy whiplashes we all experienced, our clients knew to stay invested and partake in the upsides as and when they came. 2023 has been a good year thus far with our recent acquisition of Parsec Financial we are now twice as big yet focused on maintaining our boutique firm culture for which clients know us well.”
FA’s RIA Ranking is an independent listing produced by Financial Advisor magazine. Firms must be registered investment advisors and provide financial planning and/or related services to individual clients. All firms must be either independently owned or a freestanding subsidiary of another business. Neither the RIA firms nor their employees pay a fee to FA Magazine to be included in the listing. Data is provided by each firm, mostly from numbers and information published on forms they submit to the SEC. Each firm is then ranked alongside their participating peers.
