What do you value most in your client relationships?

Having my own family, I derive the most satisfaction working in a field where my day-to-day activity helps others take care of their own families. I enjoy having a personal connection with our clients andĀ the trust we develop. Whenever money is discussed, I’m getting to know a very personal side that is only shared by the client with trusted individuals.

What sparked your interest in financial planning? What fuels you every day in your work?

Watching the events of the 2008-09 financial crisis, it became clear to me that people need help navigating challenging times with their money. It was a difficult period for many people, and it inspired me to devote my career to this passion for helping others. I am also a big believer in living a healthy lifestyle, and financial planning is no different. It takes time and discipline to create a regular process of taking care of yourself. Think of me as your fitness trainer. I work hard so I can do my best to help you to create the best program for you, and together we work on building resiliency and strength in any areas of concern.

How do you feel you help to create an impact for clients?

When clients refer to ‘peace of mind,’ it’s a sign that they trust me and my team to be a reliable resource for their financial questions and to help guide their overall wealth strategy. They know they can count on us for thoughtful, consistent support.

What do you feel is a strength that you have?

My ability to listen to clients and my calm demeanor.

What do you enjoy most about working at Modera?

Modera is what I call a ā€œbeyond-collaborativeā€ culture. What separates us from others is the people we have here and how everyone is always willing to roll up their sleeves to get things done by helping one another. I enjoy working with people who endeavor to put our clients’ best interest at the forefront of every decision and interaction. This is a great place where everyone has a voice and feels included in our success. That voice extends both inside and outside of Modera, where we also have a passion for inclusion. I am fortunate to be a part of this company.

Where did you grow up? Where do you live now?

I grew up in Marietta and now live in Roswell with my wife and two kids. So, for the better part of my life, I have been a part of this local community and have seen a lot. Some things have changed over time, but the core values have remained the same. This comes back to my emphasis on families, and I feel this a great area to raise a family, with activities available for kids and adults alike.
