As a Senior Planning Associate, Michaela plays a key role in strengthening client relationships and supporting the delivery of comprehensive financial planning. As an integral part of your advisory team, she conducts in-depth client interviews to gather financial data and clarify planning goals, contributing to strategies across investment, tax, retirement, estate planning, executive compensation, risk management, and education funding.
In addition to helping clients implement their financial plans, Michaela participates actively in client meetings, providing documentation and follow-up support to support continuity and clarity. She reviews investment allocation reports, collaborates with the client service team to monitor service activities, and researches planning strategies and potential tax law changes to keep clients’ financial plans current.
Beyond client-facing responsibilities, Michaela contributes to internal initiatives such as onboarding new team members and supporting broader wealth management projects. With a collaborative mindset and strong attention to detail, she helps support Modera’s comprehensive planning process.
What sparked your interest in financial planning? What fuels you every day in your work?
Initially talking to my dad about the world of finance and how important planning for your future is early on sparked my interest in financial planning. Being able to help clients reach their goals fuels my everyday work.
How do you feel you help to create impact for clients?
Being able to take their current situation and help them make decisions for their future. Being able to create different scenarios so they can see potential outcomes to make big life decisions is how I feel I create impact for clients.
When you retire you’re going to…?
Eventually make it to Australia and maybe complete the 6 super half marathons.
Where did you grow up? Where do you live now?
I grew up in West Chester, PA which is where I currently live now.
