As a Client Service Specialist, Jami delivers high-level support to clients and the advisory team, ensuring a seamless and personalized experience. She manages client communication and oversee account administration—including openings, transfers, and money movements—while coordinating with custodians, accountants, and other professionals to address client needs efficiently.
To ensure accuracy and timeliness, Jami maintains thorough documentation and keeps internal systems current. She initiates and manages workflows for key client engagements such as onboardings, reviews, and discovery meetings, ensuring all materials and checklists are prepared and completed.
Jami prepares reports and supporting documents for client meetings and may attend in a technical, supportive, or observational role. She monitors account activity, research and resolve issues, and follow through to ensure client satisfaction.
In addition to client-facing responsibilities, Jami contributes to internal operations by updating training guides, organizing client records, and supporting front-office functions such as greeting visitors, managing calls, and scheduling meetings. With a strong focus on organization, service excellence, and confidentiality, Jami plays a critical role in delivering a high standard of care and professionalism across the firm.
What has been a particularly rewarding moment in your career?
A client once sent me a gift to thank me for how much I had assisted them through an emotionally difficult process. I didn’t even realize that I had helped in any big way and helped me see that I treat everyone as though they are special to me. This was 30 years ago, and it sticks with me.
What’s the best career advice you ever got?
Don’t look at the big picture because it can be intimidating. Pick one thing to do at a time, and it will all come together. This was actually advice I received on one particular event in my life, but I try to use it everywhere, especially at work.
Where did you grow up? Where do you live now?
I grew up in Marblehead, MA and now live in Natick, MA. I’m not one to wander too far from home, but now most of my immediate family has moved away!
What’s a destination in the world that you aspire to visit?
For many years now, I’ve had an (unrealistic) fantasy of owning an ice cream truck and driving it cross country, making lots of people happy along the way. It would be an arduous, if not impossible, task both to get permits for all those random towns and to keep the inventory, but it is a fun dream.
