What has been a particularly rewarding moment in your career?
Being a resource for a variety of clients in all their tax needs is always rewarding. I really enjoy listening to understand their questions and supplying them with answers. It’s very rewarding when I receive positive feedback from clients on my work.
When you’re not working you’re…?
Hiking, golfing, watching sports, playing the guitar, attending concerts, and staying active.
Where did you grow up? Where do you live now?
I grew up in Waynesville, North Carolina about thirty minutes outside of Asheville and have been local to Haywood and Buncombe County since 2007. I am grateful to still be able to live in my hometown of Waynesville, and to be so close to many things that I am fond of in Western North Carolina.
What’s a destination in the world that you aspire to visit?
Dillingham Alaska so I can meet my Yupik family. They live a traditional and simple way of life by harvesting salmon, still practicing traditional native crafts, serving the Native peoples board, and the speaking of their traditional language among other things. I could learn so much about my culture and family by taking a trip there.
How do you caffeinate?
Two cups of Café Bustelo coffee, black, and in one of my favorite mugs is the key to success for me Monday through Friday.
Western Carolina University, BSBA Accounting, Finance Minor
