What do you value most in your client relationships?

Being a part of my clients’ life journeys is what I value the most in our relationships. To me, the beauty of financial planning is having the opportunity to watch clients reach so many meaningful milestones, some they planned for and others they never imagined were possible. Being trusted to guide them through those moments is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do, and it’s a privilege I will cherish throughout my career.

What sparked your interest in financial planning? What fuels you every day in your work?

What sparked my interest in financial planning was the professors I had at Virginia Tech. Their passion for the profession, patience in teaching, and genuine desire to develop the next generation of financial advisers were truly inspiring.

What fuels me every day is the opportunity to make at least one person smile. In this profession, we have the privilege of making a meaningful impact on people’s lives, and my goal is for every client I work with to leave feeling more confident, supported, and smiling.

What do you enjoy most about working at Modera?

What I enjoy most about working at Modera is the people I’m surrounded by every day. Whether it’s my colleagues or the clients we serve, everyone brings a positive attitude and a long-term perspective. Being part of a team that genuinely cares about one another and is committed to helping clients achieve lasting success makes coming to work each day incredibly rewarding.

When you retire you’re going to…?

When I retire, I hope to move to Claytor Lake, Virginia. I want to spend my golden years somewhere peaceful, with a beautiful view right outside my back door. I picture a place where my future children and grandchildren can run around, make memories, and enjoy the outdoors. Being so close to Virginia Tech is another bonus. I won’t be far from town, and I’ll still be able to cheer on the Hokies at football games every fall. It feels like the perfect place to enjoy retirement while staying connected to a community that has meant so much to me.
