Doug serves as a Portfolio Manager, playing an essential role in ensuring portfolios are managed in alignment with client objectives. The portfolio management team is responsible for the monitoring, rebalancing and subsequent trade execution across Modera’s client base.
Whether handling advisor requests or taking on specialized projects, he helps deliver consistent, high-quality portfolio management support that strengthens Modera’s commitment to disciplined investment strategy and client service.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Outside of work, my favorite ways to recharge are hiking, refereeing soccer, and cooking or backyard grilling with friends and family.
Where did you grow up? Where do you live now?
I grew up on Grand Island, NY, located directly in the middle of the Niagara River between Buffalo and Niagara Falls. Today, I live in Tustin, CA with my wife Judy.
What’s a destination in the world that you aspire to visit?
Spain. I have visited once and always aspire to return to experience more of the country, its vibrant culture, and the incredible food and tapas scene.
How do you caffeinate?
Day begins with a dark roast followed by a quad espresso. Day ends with a cold brew where I decompress and assess.
How do you do good in your community?
Spend many of my Saturdays volunteering as a referee for American Youth Soccer Organization in Tustin. I have been volunteering for AYSO as a coach and referee since 2000. I enjoy being out there applying the laws of the game and making it a safe environment for the kids.
