What has been a particularly rewarding moment in your career?

Before starting with Modera I was a high school teacher for 5 years. I taught cooking, sewing, child development, and life skills to at risk youth at an alternative school. Every day of this job was challenging but also immensely rewarding. Seeing students gain confidence while learning valuable life skills was an experience I will truly treasure.

When you’re not working you’re…?

When I’m not working, I am having fun with my husband! We love to go on adventures and be outside. Hiking, camping, and swimming are a few of my favorites. I also love to read, sew, bake, and take bubble baths.

Where did you grow up? Where do you live now?

I grew up in Newton, New Jersey and now live in Asheville, North Carolina. I went to school and lived in Idaho for 10 years before making this exciting move to NC in June. My husband and I traded the Rocky Mountains for the Blue Ridge Mountains, and we couldn’t be more excited to explore our new home.

What’s a destination in the world that you aspire to visit?

My bucket list includes visiting all 7 continents! While I love tropical climates, I am most excited to plan a trip to Antarctica. Bonus points if I get to take a two-week cruise and see the penguins!
