Charlotte Business Journal recently released its 2024 rankings of largest financial planning firms and wealth management firms for the Charlotte, NC, area, both of which included Modera.
The list of Charlotte-area’s largest financial planning firms is ranked by number of local CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® (CFP®) professionals. Modera is tied for #6 with 11 local CFP® employees. None of the larger firms ranked are fee-only firms.
The list of Charlotte-area’s largest wealth management firms is ranked by assets under management by Charlotte-area offices. Information for local firms is self-reported or compiled from ADV forms. Firms based elsewhere, including Modera, provided numbers for Charlotte-area operations. Modera is ranked #13 with $1.85 billion in total assets under management for Modera’s Charlotte offices, approximately 15% of the firm’s total assets of $12.53 billion.
“We are thrilled to be recognized on both rankings as we equally prioritize our financial planning and investment capabilities,” said Modera Wealth Manager and Principal Erica Yount, CFA, CFP®.
In 2023 Modera acquired Parsec Financial, essentially doubling its presence in Charlotte.
“I am delighted that Parsec found a great partner with Modera to strengthen our presence across the East Coast, and particularly to double down on our efforts in Charlotte,” said Modera Wealth Manager and Principal Michael Ziemer, CFP®. “Now we have two offices and 29 employees locally to better serve our Charlotte clients in the years ahead.”
