Sandra BromfieldCFP®, ChFC®
Wealth Manager
Sandra started her career in financial planning 40 years ago. In 1987, she founded Bromfield Financial Services which later became Bromfield Sneider Wealth Advisors. Hers was one of the first generation of firms to transition to a fee-only platform. An active listener and problem-solver, she understands that the key to long-term financial success is closely correlated with establishing and prioritizing financial objectives based on one’s personal values and being flexible and adaptable as circumstances change. Communicating complex financial concepts in an understandable way, Sandra has helped clients navigate the often confusing and complicated financial landscape so they can make sound decisions.
What do you value most in your client relationships?
The one thing I value most is the incredible people I have had the privilege to work with – people with complexities, interesting stories, and aspirations who have trusted me to partner with them on a journey that results in their long-term financial success and goal achievement. I am fortunate to have personal relationships with my clients that have lasted for decades and span generations.
How do you feel you help to create impact for clients?
I have impacted clients by actively listening to their challenges and struggles about money and helping them turn their hopes and dreams into attainable goals through a very personalized approach that coordinates all aspects of their lives; not just financial. Clients count on me to think outside the box and deliver important advice, even if it creates discomfort in the short term, and to keep them on track to achieve their financial goals.
When you retire you’re going to…?
My clients have taught me that retirement is not an event, but rather a unique time in life that offers the opportunity to revive interests, learning, relationships, and experiences. I expect my own retirement to be another phase of life where I will continue to grow and evolve through travel and educational experiences, participate in activities outside of my comfort zone, and give back to the community through board work and volunteering.
Where did you grow up? Where do you live now?
I was born and raised in a part of Boston called Dorchester. Although I went to college outside of Massachusetts, I returned at a very turbulent time in the city’s history. Cambridge was my home for decades, but I now reside in Wellesley, a suburb of Boston.
