What sparked your interest in financial planning? What fuels you every day in your work?

Beginning a career in finance was a natural transition for me. I have always loved and excelled at math. I enjoy working with numbers and giving my family and friends advice on what to do with their money and where to invest it. In my previous career, I was a middle school math teacher. I loved working with kids and teaching them about money. After moving to NC, I wanted to try my hand in the financial world. Helping advisors/clients implement their investment strategies is a very rewarding career choice.

When you retire you’re going to…?

When I retire, I want to volunteer in my community, spend my days walking my dog, reading really great novels and perhaps even writing one, and I want to travel and learn about different cultures.

Where did you grow up? Where do you live now?

I grew up in a small rural community in upstate NY.  I spent most of my adult life in Texas and now am enjoying exploring/hiking the beautiful mountain communities in NC.
