When you’re not working, you’re…?
When I’m not working, I’m trying to survive (but enjoy) life with two small, hilarious, and opinionated children. My evenings, weekends, and early mornings include a lot of dinosaur sounds, searching for snacks, and attempts to reason. These attempts usually are, let’s be honest, futile. When my kids are asleep, I love hanging out with my cool husband, gardening, listening to and playing music, writing, swimming, and philosophizing about pretty much anything.
Where did you grow up? Where do you live now?
I was born on the beautiful waters of the Bay of Quinte in Southern Ontario and grew up between Ontario and South Carolina (though Canada will always have my Olympic allegiance). After time in the midwest and northeast, I find myself back in the southeast, living in Asheville, NC.
What’s a destination in the world that you aspire to visit?
My husband and I traveled through Nepal for a while after we got married. I would love to return to the Himalayas one day.
How do you caffeinate?
Dance freakout with my kids first thing in the morning, black tea at 9, coffee at 11.
