What do you value most in your client relationships?
The impact I have when I can help to relieve a stressor or a worry for a client. Watching as their body language changes, and you can see a weight has been lifted from them, gives me a sense of satisfaction.
What’s the one thing people say you’re best at?
Taking the time to listen to a problem or an issue. I really want to understand what motivates a person and what they value as this better helps to understand how we can partner with them to solve what is troubling them.
What do you enjoy most about working at Modera?
The collaborating amongst my peers. The nice part of working with Modera is not just the “one” adviser working on the client but really the whole firm. We rely on the total experience of the firm to help solve problems for clients. This is extremely reassuring as I may not always have the right answer, but I know I can rely on our whole firm to help resolve a client issue.
When you retire you’re going to…?
Try to work on cars. I have always enjoyed taking things apart and putting them back together. There is something rewarding about being able to build and accomplish something you didn’t think you could do.
