When you’re not working you’re…?
Trying, unsuccessfully, not to embarrass my kids by being too animated at their soccer games. It only gets stranger when I can’t help but root for the other team if they also do something great.

How do you do good in your community?
I take after my spunky and non-judgmental Grandma who would talk to anyone and everyone, not able to ignore people. Therefore, I get involved wherever I reasonably can. Recently, this meant feeding homeless people in Philadelphia with ‘One Kind Act a Month’ and finding a great deal on produce at the grocery store and taking it to the West Chester Food Cupboard. My love for thrifting has fueled various charity yard sales benefiting victims of natural disasters around the world. A point of pride (and the reason behind a couple of consistent white hairs) is the ’10,000 Cookie Project’ I lead for 8 years that resulted in over $80,000 and countless truckloads of construction materials being donated from CertainTeed to World Vision, also benefitting victims of natural disasters.

Where did you grow up? Where do you live now?
I grew up in Southern California and moved to PA once I was married. I now know the joys of what four seasons feel like and I love it.

What’s a destination in the world that you aspire to visit?
I was blessed to have recently lived in Germany and Spain. This allowed for the opportunity to travel around Europe. However, even before that adventure, I had always wanted to visit Israel, which I still haven’t visited. Greece, Turkey and Croatia have also since been added to the list.

How do you caffeinate?
This question reminds me of my favorite dessert… an Affogato… a shot of hot espresso poured over vanilla (typically) gelato or ice cream.
